What should I wear/Is there a dress code?

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Ladies should wear cocktail dresses, and gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or a sports coat.

Although June is considered Summer in Michigan, this means the weather fluxes between sunny/hot and rainy/cold. Please be sure to bring a coat or jacket. (Maybe an umbrella too.)

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

We are planning on an outdoor wedding but we have made arrangements with the venue if we need to move the ceremony inside.

What happens between the ceremony and reception?

After the ceremony, there will be a cocktail hour where we will be serving finger foods and beverages while the bridal party takes pictures nearby for around an hour.

What should I do if I can’t make it?

We'll miss you! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,on the RSVP form so we can plan accordingly.

Will transportation be provided to/from the hotel?

Transportation will be provided to and from the Hyatt Place and Indian Springs Metropark two hours before the event and two hours after the event ends. If you are staying at another hotel near the Hyatt, let the driver know and they should drop you off.

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

There is paid parking at the front of the facility. The price for parking has been covered by the couple.

What time should I arrive?

We recommend that you arrive an hour before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled!

Are kids welcome?

While we love your little ones, our reception will be limited to 13 years or older and those in the wedding party so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening.

Can I bring a date/+1?

We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. If someone on your intimation cannot attend, please let us on when you RSVP.

Will there be any vegan/vegetarian/gluten-free/special diet options?

Yes, please let us know on our RSVP form what your dietary restrictions are and we will try to accommodate as much as possible.

Can I take and post pictures of the ceremony or reception and post them on social media?

We invite you to be fully present with us during our special moment. Please no cellphones, cameras, or electronic devices during the ceremony.
However, we fully encourage guests to post pictures on their social media channels during the reception and request that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #ElyseLovesKevinForever so we can keep track of all of your pictures!

Are the ceremony and reception location wheelchair accessible?

Yes, both areas are wheelchair accusable. There will also be two Indian Springs Metropark team members operating golf carts to and from the ceremony site for those who have difficulty walking or are unable to traverse the hill that leads to the ceremony site.

What time is the reception scheduled to end?

Our reception is scheduled to end around 11 PM. However, we are planning to have an after-party. Stay tuned for more information.
